PopPressed has the story on Google’s plans to build the world’s largest solar tower power plant (that is just so fun to say). Unlike the Saudi Arabian plans to build the world’s tallest tower in general, this will actaully serve a good purpose.
From PopPressed:

“The massive alternative energy project, spearheaded by BrightSource Energy, will reportedly generate 392 grow megawatts of clean energy, enough to power 140,000 homes. “That’s the equivalent of taking more than 90,000 cars off the road over the lifetime of the plant, projected to be more than 25 years,” writes Google in the official announcement on its blog.”

Pretty cool news for clean energy, and thereby also for clean air. Which is good, in my view. Of course, I’m probably biased, since I breathe daily (several times a day, really).
